Bellator 49 marks the start of Bellator's 3rd Welterweight Tournament and will feature some of the sport's best 170 pounders, as Brazilian knockout artist Luis "Sapo" Santos, five-time Bellator vet Dan "The Handler" Hornbuckle, top prospect Douglas "The Phenom" Lima, Season 4 Welterweight Tournament finalist Rick Hawn, and Bellator 39 winner Ben Saunders headline a stacked tournament field.

The night will also see some of the area's best regional talent, with local New Jersey, Philadelphia and tri-state area fighters will be featured on the night's card.
