Archive, interview and documentary footage of Pink Floyd from their beginnings with Syd Barrett in 1967 through 1996, the year that Roger Waters left the band.
As a documentary the analysis is relatively critical while still paying homage - milestones are investigated, such as Syd Barrett's withdrawal from the band and replacement by Dave Gilmour, but also good discussion on their more obscure releases such as Atom Heart Mother and Umagumma; their breakthrough with Meddle; interesting background on the making of Dark Side of the Moon; leading up inevitably to The Wall.
