Everyone's hope is for a peaceful, more gentle world. Yet, just as we welcome the extraordinary events in the Eastern Bloc countries, we also know how any situation can dramatically go sour. Soldiers prepare for the worst. Major John Antal's Armor Attacks is both stimulating and instructional. It is an excellent exercise for small unit leaders. To those not familiar with Army combat units, I recommend it as a superb example of the enormous complexity of the modern battlefield, of how very much we expect of young Privates, Specialists, Buck Sergeants, and 2nd Lieutenants. To those who have worn the uniform, it should be comforting that the thread of selfless service, the belief in DUTY, HONOR and COUNTRY, are as imbued in this generation of soldiers as they were in our time.
