Pride 16: Beasts From the East was a mixed martial arts event held by the Pride Fighting Championships on September 24, 2001 at the Osaka Castle Hall in Japan. The fight card included the return of Don Frye to MMA as well as the Pride debuts of Murilo Rua and Semmy Schilt. Additionally, the Lineal Mixed Martial Arts Championship[1] would be exchanged as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira would defeat Mark Coleman at this event.
